Confession: I've gotten crazy-attached to our professional basketball team, and they were in first place until they lost the last two games, and Chris Paul looked like he might win MVP until he probably lost to Kobe Bryant, who's never won MVP. (How can that be? Because he's, um, SELFish?) So I haven't wanted to rave about them for fear of jinxing them, but, well, we'll see what happens in the playoffs. They're going to play Dallas instead of the last place team since they slipped out of first. Ugh.

So now you know.

They're also our client, so we have season tickets and go to almost all of the home games.

The shame is that if MVP is about making your team better, about assists and steals and unselfish play, well, Chris Paul is that person. Center, Tyson Chandler says it better.

He had 17 assists for godsakes against the Lakers and they closed up a 30 point gap in the third quarter to one lousy possession.

And, what about Kobe leading the league in technicals? Hmm?
