Oxford American's Music Issue.

Buy it. Read it. Pop the CD into your CD player and listen. Scratch and sniff the perfume card. (Wait. There is no perfume card.) This issue's a sensory overload with pieces by my friends Jim Ruland and Jim Whorton, and my mentor, Frederick Barthelme. I've got a piece in there about moving with my family from Calgary, Alberta to Hattiesburg, Mississippi called "Classical Is A Period, Not An Adjective."

Here's the photo the newspaper took and ran of me and my sisters way back when.
